DnL School 
(Democracy and Leadership School) 


North Korean Defector Youth Civil Society Leadership Training Program 

The DnL School is a capacity building program that provides young North Korean defectors with training on the topics of democracy, civil society, human rights, and leadership. The program helps students to take their first steps as future civil society leaders through sessions de by activists, academics, and other experts in their fields and hands-on experiences including field trips and internship opportunities.


Woorion has run the DnL program since 2018 with the support of the National Endowment for Democracy. Each DnL school cycle lasts for one year, with around 10 students selected for each cohort. Through the program, we aspire to help young North Korean defectors reach their potential as future leaders and civil society experts who can rebuild North Korea's civil society and lead in the reunification of the Korean Peninsula.
